LipidTech, LLC was established in January 2015 to provide rapid analysis of cholesterol and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). The PUFA’s measured are omega-6 fattty acids (ω- 6, so called “bad fats”) that include linoleic acid (LA), conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), arachidonic acid (AA) and omega-3 (ω-3, so called “good fats”) which include alpha linoleic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). The analysis also includes the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 in human serum, biological media and foods, nuts and dairy products. The levels are determined without any analytical separations of the sample in only 25 minutes. The company caters to the needs of industries and biomedical research for a rapid and inexpensive method of lipid quantification.
